Since 2014, Colin has been involved in the analysis and reconstruction of hundreds of motor vehicle crashes including rollovers, multi-vehicle impacts, motorcycles, heavy trucks and pedestrian impacts throughout the United States. Colin has authored numerous technical reports on his findings and provided testimony in support of his investigative work. Colin continues to expand his contributions in our company’s efforts to provide top quality engineering assessments with specific training related to human factors and the understanding of drivers’ response times to emergency events and nighttime recognition.

Colin is a registered Professional Engineer in Colorado and California and passed the ACTAR in 2019. He holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees from the Colorado School of Mines in Mathematical and Computer Sciences and Mechanical Engineering. Colin is certified to download event data from passenger vehicles and heavy trucks. He also specializes in the analysis of vehicle related incidents involving criminal matters.

Colin has been a practicing professional since 2006. He previously worked providing probability and statistical analysis for large corporations, leveraging his mathematics and computer science degree. He has always had an affinity for vehicles and accident reconstruction, so Colin returned to school to obtain his second degree in Mechanical Engineering, with the sole purpose of pursuing a career in the field.

Colin gives back to the professional community as evidenced by his serving as current secretary for the National Society of Professional Engineers and being a guest speaker for the Colorado Criminal Defense Board, and the South Dakota Defense Lawyers Association. He enjoys recreational hockey, is an avid golfer, and keeps busy raising his children.
